I would most like to try the spiced cupcakes with brandy butter cream as they sound like a little bit of Christmas magic. I love cupcakes, well I *thought* I loved cupcakes until I tried Sparkle cupcakes (funnily enough it was only yesterday I tried a Sparkle cupcake for the first time - 4 cupcakes in fact with my boy... vanilla, chocolate, eggnog with caramel & nutmeg AND peppermint chocolate with crushed candy cane!) and I have to say it was a life changing experience. No ordinary cupcake will ever do anymore! ♥ Sparkle!

I’d like to try the chocolate and peppermint cupcakes with crushed candy canes, because those candy cane pieces are bound to get stuck in your teeth, which means you’ll be enjoying that bad boy for at least 2 hours! Nothing better than digging pieces of candy out of your teeth!

Oh, without a doubt the spiced/brandy butter one. I'm a freak for anything with any kind of cinnamon/nutmeg/clove flavour, and brandy butter owns my soul. Every January, once all the Christmas foods go on sale in clearance buckets in every store, I obsessively hoard jars of much-reduced brandy butter (and mince pies...and stollen...and Christmas cake), then spend the rest of the year eating it on toast (...and pancakes and waffles and ice cream and scones and porridge...)
    :D

Choc Mint with Candy Cane bits!
I love the combination of mint and rich chocolate so together they would make the perfect christmas cupcake, although they all sounds delicious its hard to pick just one.

I hear peppermint is good for what ails you. So that's how I'd justify eating one. It's a "healthy" cupcake!

I would really like to try the lavendar and honey combo. I'm actually not the biggest fan of cupcakes, and every time I've eaten lavendar it's tasted like soap, but just a few hours ago my sister-in-law was telling me how much better tasting than regular cupcakes this flavour is. I'd like to see if they can wow me so much that I like two things I normally don't!

I would love the chocolate spice- yum, yum, yum. I like unique flavors in my cakes-the more different the better! Although the chcolate and mint combo cannot really be beat!

I'd love to try the Christmas Spirit cupcakes! I've never tried egg nog, so this sounds like the perfect, most fun way of trying an egg nog custard - and the brandy would just top it off! Very Christmas!!

I am sitting here, having read Sparkle CUpcakekry's flavour chart, salivating. In fact, I am slurping as I type to avoid drooling on the keyboard. Could there possibly be anything better than sinking one's teeth into a soft scrumptious mint choc cupcake with that crunchy, minty candy cane crushed on top?! It just screams "Eat Me!" "Go on, have another, it's Christmas afterall".

Chocolate chocolate chocolate... What girl in their right mind would pass up anything to do with chocolate... Well not this girl... Anything chocolate makes me more happy than a pig in chocolate (well mud has that chocolate colour)... The thought of bringing together two of the most happiest experiences, chocolate and Christmas, is undeniably GENIUS!!! The decadance of the light, fluffy, rich and smooth chocolate cupcake, topped with the festive, crunching and cooling sensation of the peppermint candy cane makes my mouth water. I crown this cupcake "Pick of the Christmas Dessert Table" :-)

I have GOT to sink my teeth into an eggnog cupcake with the custardy centre - i can taste the nutmeg spice on my tongue as i lurch forward and scoop the custard from dripping down my shirt- that's after i've licked the brandy buttercream from the top of the cupcake!

EGGNOG CUPCAKE - Hint of nutmeg and a eggnog custard filling with a cheeky brandy buttercream.

I want to try this one because I'd consider it a real Christmas treat - the only question is the eating method:
    1) lick the brandy buttercream icing from the top, nibble into the spiced cupcake and scoop the eggnog custard filling out with my ...finger.
    OR
    2) eat the whole lot in 3 bites and 30 seconds flat?!

Egg Nog! No better way to have my first ever taste of Egg Nog than in a muffin! :)

They have a great range of flavours, it was fairly difficult to choose a single one. Did it have to be one of the Christmas ones? They're good, but the others look awesome too.

I'll embrace my inner Nanna and go for the Lavender & Honey. It makes me think of tea and homemade biscuits :)

Eggnog - it would certainly put some Sparkle! in our Christmas and my dear husband says he has never tried Eggnog - what better way to start than in a delicious creamy cupcake?!

  • At 12/12/2010 4:51 pm, Anonymous Anonymous said…

I am cheeky, sweet and creamy, so the eggnog is a clear choice for me!

The salted caramel is the choice for me. I've had this flavour in gelato form before - sensational! A combo of sweetness and saltiness sends the tastebuds crazy!!! Look forward to trying the sparkle cupcake version!

I would choose the chocolate and peppermint cupcakes with crushed candy canes because its a modern twist on a Christmas classic. The peppermint would cut through the richness of the chocolate to create a mouth watering treat! And being topped with crushed candycanes would add a lovely diverse texture to the classic cupcake! Sounds irresistable!

Egg Nog - the drink itself and stinking hot Aussie weather don't really go together...but put it in a cupcake and any such doubts will be gone fortever!
